NI suggest using something newer like Wine-GE-Proton7-41 in addition to providing a game log instead

CIt looks like they've added the installer as a sideloaded game, which sure is strange, but I was assuming that that was intended

NI don’t mean the system config, I mean the Heroic game config. The part with the Wine version and all that

CRight, this may already be your issue. If you want to run an executable in the same prefix as the game, use "Run EXE in prefix" in the game settings
NGiven that this is Final Fantasy XV, which isn’t available on Epic or GOG, I’m going to bow out of the conversation for the obvious reasons
Fbut this installer requires dotnet4, while on FF XV prefix I am unable to install it

FYes I owe legal copy of FF XV on Steam, HOWEVER, this is a log of the run of executable with polish subtitles
NThen why aren’t you doing all of this through Steam instead?

NSteam + Protontricks will handle all of this

NTrying to run an exe via Heroic while attempting to stack a Proton prefix sounds like a house of cards
Fit will not, It failed while trying to install dotnet4

NWinetricks won’t succeed where Protontricks failed. Protontricks uses Winetricks as the backend

NIf the installer does anything more than editing game data files, this won’t work for you when it’s time to run the game
FThat's part which is unclear, I assumed it only modifies game data files
