TThe kits that walmis has for sale come with all the electronics and the software used to configure the electronics can be found on the VPForce website. All the kits have brushless motors. The electronics and motors are sold together so the only DIY part of the kit is the hardware. You can not buy the motors separate from the main board or vice versa.

TThe VPForce mainboard handles communication with your PC. The motors for sale here need some anti-cogging configuration which is also built in so with this kit you only need to make and attach it to a gimbal.
TThere is no plug and play, bring your own motor or mainboard option. I suppose you could but you would be redoing everything that has been done already for no reason.
IIs there a way to transfer the button settings from the virpil base to the vp base on DCS? Or do I gotta start from scratch on configuring all the aircraft

MI implemented the USB HID/FFB spec on a STM32 for brushed motor. Everything in that was a pain and full of bugs, there are really few examples and the specs date from 1999. The brushed motors are also quite coggy for larger motor, they tend to be really hard to backdrive when forcing in the opposite direction, I sheared off a few couplers while testing. Using 3 phases motor with anti-cogging like the VPForce is the correct way to do it.

The USB descriptor for a normal joystick is like 100 bytes. For FFB, its like 1500 bytes, and if you got 1 byte wrong, Windows will just throw an error without telling you where it could not interpret the descriptor

II have the long length monstertech desk mount and it works just fine. It flexes a bit if you have it full strength pulling back to the stops but that’s pretty rare if ever in DCS. And I can’t tell any flex in vr. It’s plenty solid.
IOnly issue is it’s pretty wide so legs go around the base and it’s probably near the limit of comfort but not bad at all. Probably better as a moms tech type chair or floor mount. But if that’s what you got like I do it works just fine. I’ve only played with it for a couple hours now but it seems like a real game changer.

NThe reason im thinking of using brushed is because i have some reaaallyy nice brushed maxon motors and they’ve been rotting away without getting used for a while so I thought this would be a good use for them

SI'm pretty interested in the DIY kit so I can build it into my sim rig floor board, for a proper stock height and setup, even a dual stick setup for trainer
MIn recent or upcoming software update 2 bases will be able to be slaved to each other for 2 seaters through the standard usb connection
SNice. I have a Brunner FFB base right now, It's good but any sustained force and it clocks out after 20 seconds

MVpforce is light years ahead of brunner in most quantifiable categories

PHey m8, there should now be a .exe install version of the Telem App, even without it installing isn't overly complicated. Using the Telem App itself once installed is easy, just start it before DCS, (I haven't tested it but it might work if stared after DCS too). I makes the aircraft feel a lot more alive, feeling the bumps on taxi & takeoff etc. plus you can edit the file/config for each aircraft also to add, remove or edit any of the effects.

SAre there any plans to increase production? I totally get that you’re a one man show and super busy! Just looking forward to my unit and i know im still 190 ish away!
PHey m8, I can't answer for Walmis & his future plans (obviously), but his production rate has definitely increased over recent months, almost reaching 20 units per month from what I saw in a recent post. I know It's easy for me to say sitting here with my Rhino, but all I can say is it's so worth the wait imho not just the ffb effects, but the ability to customize the feel of the base per aircraft so easily by simple config changes.
WYeah, things are improving with the supply side, so with every batch things are going faster.

IOkay sounds good. It just says waiting for DCS input maybe. I’m not at my computer and slept since then so I wasn’t sure if it was doing anything or not.

LYes it works even if you launch it after DCS. You can change the effects, then restart just TelemFFB and test the new values in DCS without exiting DCS 
SOh for sure. The guys making products in huge demand in his house on his own, not upset at all! If anything I’d be interested in investing into VPForce to help increase sales and production
