shadow of the Tomb Raider won’t recognise control inputs

I installed Shadow of the Tomb Raider using the heroic games launcher and I got the game to lunch but it won’t take any on the input coming from the steam deck, I’ve tried different controller settings but none of them seem to work.
Can anyone please help me solve my problem? Thanks in advance

Using heroic game launcher there is an option in the settings to add games automatically to steam. I’m using the default controller settings I think it’s gamepad with joystick trackpad

I managed to get it working by installing the game through the epic games launcher
