Hi, I noticed the emergency switch jumped out. How should I put it back? Nah, upon looking, there's a metal ring inside the case that probably should connect.
Is the end stops effects or throw limiter better for setting a end stop. Right now I’ve got the end stops effect clocked with axes reset and it seems to work fine.
Also the balance effects for keeping the grip centered. It works but only in one position. For example you tweak for holding center then use the force trim and move stick to high left. Now the new center sags because the balance effects was used for holding the center position. Not sure how it would but a dynamic balance effect to keep the stick truly centered would be nice.
Anyone know if IL2 provides Damper / Inertia / Friction effects in game, or just spring/periodic? I like some damping but trying to figure out if I'd be over-riding in game settings if I set those to Sticky.
I don't have my dampening/inertia/friction set to sticky & when I fly something like the A-20 compared to a smaller bird it def feels like there's more inertia/dampening etc.
I definitely notice heavier spring forces in some planes. For example P-38 has less roll force required, I assume/hope because of the hydraulic ailerons
Use the force trim settings in configurator to set it up how you want it (but not the “sticky” option). If a module doesn’t have force trim FFB, you can use those bindings to use the force trim. If a module supports it, it will override what you have set in configurator (unless you have “sticky” enabled)
This sounds weird but how do I make the force of the spring more linear. I've added some dampening to make it not bounce around the center so much, but adding some linearity would be awesome, it seems to ramp up the spring tension very aggressive right outside the center of the stick.
If you crank up the spring dampening thing in the tab with the overall effect effect percentages (not the screen where you apply effects, the other tab), it basically gets rid of all the springy-ness around the center. I have mine set to 100% and I love it, creates an effect of something mechanical, not attached to a spring
