I want to know which courses students are really proud of doing. If possible also share why those courses were good for you.
SOSD700 - Open Source Development Project
Maybe the most useful course at all (OOP is a strong competitor tho)
The closest you get to an actual work environment. You get relevant skills, you can put it in portfolio, you get to actually manage people as a junior and you have freedom to choose what you want to work on.
OSD600 -
Open Source Development
Very hard, but very useful. It was terrible, but it was an experience I had to go through to overcome my fears to get to confidence. Also portfolio, freedom and relevant skills.
CVI620 -
Computer Vision
The topic is cool, you get to work with python, course is structured and had a good difficulty curve. Solid course, I actually learned something.

E- OSD700
Actually working on a project in a team where your work matters, and you have to follow deadlines, hold meetings, etc. Good alternative to getting a co-op imo - CCP555
Not only cloud computing but also a lot of other stuff such as docker, and experience working on a project from start to finish. Not like the dummy OOP projects that we don't get to see in action. Fun to see stuff deployed on the cloud and actually doing something - OSD600
Basically I think parts of this course material should be mandatory such as learning to use git, github, etc. It is freaking difficult (not in terms of programming), but once you get used to it, it makes life easier. Basically what Alex said. And it is required to enroll into OSD700
SSeems like Osd is a student favourite. Do you think Osd600 is worth it if doing osd700 is not possible? @sirinoks @eakam

ECCP is better on it's own though
EIt does teach you a bit about git and stuff

SI feel like we/I have learned more than enough of new technologies. Brushing up and solidifying fundamental’s wouldn’t be a bad decision. Like DBS501 and Unx510
