Joctober 12 is 23.10, and october 24th is Fedora 39 ... so I am hoping to have some semblence of "feature complete" for bluefin by around then, so trying to figure out what a minimum viable product looks like.

AThe easiest option might be a gnome shell extension tbh
Bi think i said it before having gnome settings screen for switching distros and/or developer mode shouldnt be first priority anyway cause that means only gnome based things can consume it we should first target an agnostic way that isnt command line (i personally if i was more interested in switching would probably just make something web based and put it into a local PWA/electron app)

Btrue but we should also make good experiance rebasing because well its a valid usecase at the end of the day i rebased my laptop multiple times when i wanted to go to KDE for some insane reason but then soon figured out that i was just insane for doing so and gone back it was just pain of entering command line, my dream is that for most things we wouldnt need command line unless we wanted it in linux

B99% of people dont need or want an ISO creation tool they want to just load iso onto USB and install. At the end of the day what we actually need is a better installer that can take parameters during install process like image and install said image

Bbasically what i said is if we had image selector app we could basically put it onto a barely there image have all the steps of ootb experiance you find in fedora(user creation...) and then just allow user to select which image they want system reboots and voila they have their system ready
Bi would just want to create as small an image as possible basically the app x or wayland and enought to do the stuff during ootb
Band it could even apply kargs for nvidia when nvidia images are selected.
