oh, if fresh write will make data available globally then it's perfectly fit with my use case. My concern now is the latency when I retrieve the data from KV, and pricing too. My current approach is storing JWT

will be retrieved in every requests, so low latency and low cost is a very important. My old implementation on my onprem server is deploying a redis cluster, with each redis instance will sit next to the main service in every region for lowest latency. I only write data once, rarely update it and access it many times in its life time

in the KV document, it said that KV is not a in-memory cache and has significantly higher latency than redis. So storing cache data in kv might not be a great idea...

value? If its often then KV will be great because it caches data in the colo it gets requested from so it will be pretty fast. For me I generally get around ~40-50ms on cache hits iirc.

Or a better option since your customers are deploying into specific locations could be Durable Objects. DOs you can send a parameter telling it where to be created so you can give them an option to select what would be closest to them. And if the DO happens to be created in the same datacenter their request hits its faster than KV but thats a big if the colo they hit has DOs and thats where it gets placed

I'm querying it in every request and I'm having 40-200 request per minute, so 40-50ms is pretty high tho. I'm also using D1 to store data, which takes 10-50ms to query data, so the cummulative sum of data querying time could be 50-100ms per request, plus internet latency then the response could be 130-300ms. I don't know this is an acceptable latency, but IMO, it's pretty high.

I'm using kv to manage the session.

But from today, "error code:500" keeps responding.
Strangely, there is no problem in the local development environment.
kv is being used as an http request. Even if you throw it with postman, it gives you a normal response.

This is just my opinion, but I think what was possible in the local environment was possible because the request was made in Korea.

In Korea, if you don't use Business grade, you will receive requests from other countries when you request them on your PC.

The best way to get eyes on issues for them to be fixed is through a support ticket (https://dash.cloudflare.com/?to=/:account/support), the help in this community is best-effort and has no guarentee of help or response.

That said, are you able to explain more about the issue? Are you using the Cloudflare API (

) to interact with KV or through a Worker? Does this happen consistently when requested in a specific way or from a specific location? And finally, are you able to share the full JSON output you get from the API? Thanks!

Customers have been complaining that they have not been able to log in for six hours.

The funny thing is it's not a region issue.
Registering kv from other pages functions is normally registered

When I fetch a request to read kv in pages functions that is suddenly not working now with v4 api, this is the only one that gets 500 errors answered.

Even if you make a different key and read it, it's the same.
The status code is 500 in the first place, but I don't think it makes sense that this is my problem.
Because I haven't modified the code related to this recently and it's a problem that has occurred since today.

There’s a known issue right now with various APIs throwing 500s. It’s being investigated and a fix should be out soon. Sorry for any inconvenience.

I'm not a Cloudflare employee, but a community member simply passing along the information as I receive it. I understand this is frustrating, and only apologise for that. For us to escalate issues, we have to see it impacting multiple users, and until very recently, we did not have many reports of this. Once we did, it was escalated, and we got confirmation within minutes which was then relayed to you.

Cloudflare API in Pages Functions may also have been affected returning intermittent 500 errors.

A fix has been implemented and we are monitoring the results.
