Homeworld Remastered Collection
This game is free on Epic right now, and I can get it to get to the loader page using Heroic (latest) using WINE GE latest (8-12) on an AMD Ryzen mini box. But when I get there HEROIC Launcher goes into a hang and I can' t get free from 'Force Quit' 'Wait' dialog loop.
Anyone else having luck or otherwise?

1) I am using Wine GE Latest (8-12, originally tested on 8-11)
2) winetricks add dotnet40 to fix the Homeworld launcher issues
ran tutorials in RM Homeworld 1, 2 and launched Multiplayer / SHiFT with no issues
the initial launch video will blackscreen and audio loop after the gearbox logo - wait a sec and hit ESC (this happens in winDoze as well) Tutorial videos worked with no issues

a screenshot of what to do would be appreciated..
"Select the default wineprefix" -> "Install a Windows DLL or component" -> Tick "dotnet40" & click OK. You'll then get some warnings (about 64-bit prefixes, dotnet not fully installing, and Wineserver being ran), after which the main Winetricks window should pop up again

if it is your first time messing with Winetricks I would just note that when dotnet is done you can cancel out, cancel out, close the editor and launch the game - hopefully that resolves your issues

yes that worked well. oddly the launcher is now blacked out until I miove the mouse over the options (one by one) but that's ok, I know it works and the death loop doesn't happen. thanks.

that's ok, just asking. i run linux and macos and heroic does a good job on both but this game is foxing me.. i don't need to fix it but a friend only uses macos.. hang on.. he use chromeos but that not viable I think

Hi all! I'm getting an "EOS SIgn in failed. Do you own this game?" when launching. Launcher isn't popping up, just closing without any notification. Other epic games launching just fine.

Auto install dxvk needs to be on at least
