Homeworld Remastered Collection not working

ubuntu 23.04. GTX 1060 (6gb), i7 7th gen. Epic game. Game boots into the launcher, but launching the remasters of the game doesnt work, black window opens, then closes. launcher hangs logs attatched

with a fresh prefix on the latest wine, post the log again? I went back to check this again. The box with the Launch Options only appears after pressing play for me, then stays for subsequent launches. My game is launching from GOG, are you launching from Epic? If so, I'll give that a try and see if I reproduce it After installing the Epic version, I was not able to replicate it. The Gearbox logo was a little stuttery, but the game loads into gameplay and plays the cutscenes just fine do you have ~/Documents/My Games/Homeworld Remastered/ created? It may be having trouble with that? I don't know

on this same prefix try installing d3dx9_43, d3dcompiler_47, and dotnet40 from winetricks, one at a time in that order after each one, try booting it up to see if it is fixed if it asks you to install mono, make sure to install it

this system was originally a 20.04 ubuntu install no lmfao and my built in screen supports 120hertz and it would go up to that on said older version but when I updated the option got greyed out and set to 60 weird ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

SO for as long as ive been using computers ive used windows because like its been there but on my main (old) pc like 1/10 every time I'd use a USB stick the file system on said stick would kill itself properly ejecting and everything fat36, ntfs all of them ((and ISO managment is also horrid) its a silly reason also like, the usual reasons I probably would have never switch if it wasnt for the fact I used a 2008 macbook pro as my daily driver tho (((now that I say it, it sounds really dumb lol))) I have plenty of windows horror stories tho

When I try to load Homeworld 1 or 2 it shows the gear box logo but the audio is broken and then it blacks out. I tried latestes proton ge and nothing.
