GLARE TKL DAUGHTER DOESN'T SCREW IN?

Good day all, I've been trying to screw in my GLARE TKL Daughterboard to the weight but somehow the screw doesnt completely screw in. After screwing abit, the socket gets rough and i need to force my way to screw it and im afraid of stripping the socket/screws.. Been going at it for about 30mins now. Need some advice. PS : Pretty sure I am using the correct screws but please correct me if I am wrong..

The top left hole (nearest where you are holding the screw) was a bit tight for me as well, but I wouldn’t force it in there. Did you try another size screw?

all 4 holes are tight for me.. a quick update, i stripped the bottom left screw whilst forcing/tightening it no sir, it is the only set of screws that fit perfectly and is able to tighten. the rest of the extra screws provided do not fit so my solution was to forcefully tighten it to the point it doesnt strip (for the 3 other sides) at least now it isnt wobbly, albeit not fully fasten in place..

any chance im able to get a more definitive answer? i may be stripping the daughterboard off the sockets to try a hotswap PCB. ideally i wanna remove and redo it properly.. not sure if its a board manufacturing issue or im doing sth wrongly here.. but im quite afraid it will no longer screw in after i take it off

When sandblasting, powder can get stuck in the threads and make them feel tight. You may have removed the powder during inspection and assembly, but some may remain. You can spray the threaded area with water and use something sharp to scrape it off.

Roger that, thanks for the advice I’ll give it a go when I take apart the daughter board In the event I try to take out the screws and it no longer screws in, any idea what I may be able to do? DIY rethread the sockets? Or just glue the sides etc to ensure the daughter board doesn’t move

If the screw does not come out, it may be due to powder on the threads. It is recommended to carefully remove the screws, remove the powder inside, and reattach the daughter board.
