Thank you guys for the info. I'll give it a try either tomorrow or next week. I went full circle with my sd today. Started on steamos dual booted garuda, tried to set up garuda so it would be more of the "gamemode" experience somewhere along the way with the jupiter installs it borked my steamos partition, then jupiter went missing and instead of trying to trouble shoot that mess I decided to try bazzite and ran into the installer problem so I ended up just running steam os recovery and it was able to fix my steam os partition so I'm done for the day.
