Phey m8, basically anything from VKB, Virpil or Winwing, if you don't care about having the saem grip as the sim aircraft I would go for either the VKB Modern Combat Grip Ultimate or Virpil Mongoose T-50CM2 or the Winwing F-16EX grip.
SWhich extension you are using? I haven’t been able to find 5cm extension which could be angled.

FI bought Virpil's 50mm and 75mm extensions for testing. I am using the 50mm tube with the 75mm cable. It is able to fit in there. It was tricky to make it fit but doable.

N@geezalbert - I just ordered a set of motors and the control board and it was 7 days in transit to the US after a few days while Walmis was waiting on the motors. Very well packed and arrived in great shape. “Just” need to get them hooked up now… 
HHi, I found this old discussion; is it currently possible to spoof Thrustmaster TARGET to think that it's seeing a TM stick? I'm using Home Fries's TARGET profiles and would be great if those would work with my new diy-VPforce stick
SOut of curiosity What are the target profiles good for? I never used target - I Have setup everything directly in DCS with my TM Stick
JI also don't use Target. I use joystick gremlin if I want to change how my Cougar MFDs behave
JI think the ONLY thing I set up in Target was only have 1 light on for one of the MFDs so I always knew which was 1 and which was 2 according to windows

FExactly. With the 5cm extension the Y axis throw is perfect. Then I limit the X axis throw to 70% and it works great.

WYeah, you can put a VKB GF grip on a Virpil using VPforce VKB adapter

MHave any of you mounted the Rhino to an Openwheeler setup? Finally got to put in my order and am now realizing I should figure out how I'm going to mount the thing
Hthe main advantage, in my opinion, is that Home Fries has put together comprehensive hotas profiles for nearly each aircraft in DCS, and a GUI tool for configuring them based on the hardware setup I have. It saves a ton of time when I don't have to set up the button combinations / macros myself. The quality and detail of the profiles is undoubtely also much better than what I could do if I started from scratch.
MYes, kind of scuffed/need to spend more time getting it right.
MBasically have a customized bottom section that matches the TMWH throttle, rhino is mounted to an OW throttle plate, and I used the little bracket that normally secures the center stick bracket to hard mount the plate to the section that goes out to the rudder pedal plate. Mounting the plate directly to the center stick mount puts it a couple inches too high
MOk. I was thinking I would have to cut the post of the center stick mount to get it to fit. I talked to them about making a mounting plate with holes for the rhino. Did the standard throttle plate they have fit it?
MNo, mine has a custom bottom plate that has holes to match the TMWH throttle
MEven if you drop the post, it's gonna sit pretty high, given how tall the rhino is
MI was considering trying to mount directly to the part that goes out to the pedals, but there is a spot for a screw that sticks out there
MAlso behold my impressive DIY skills. The mockup does sit very high and I need to cut out more of the seat to make sure the gears don't get messed with
MThe gears should just barely clear if you mount the front gear towards the front of your pit. I'll try to remember to grab a pic of how mine looks mounted on the bar when I get home from work and post it. That screw was definitely an issue, iirc, I shimmed around it while cursing it's existence
MForward/backward I can move that post to create more space. But depending on how everything sits I don't want the stick too far forward

SStupid question but how do you guys turn the rhino off? Just pressing the red button? ... And leave the stick hanging loose?
AI just switch off the extension cord and power off most of my pit, including the rhino

FYes right out of the box. In the configurator I set the stick as if it was the vpc mongoost-50 so the hats can behave like hats or buttons. Otherwise they just behave like buttons. I let hat 1 (coolie hat) behave like hats and set the other ones as buttons.

WTM grips are pretty simple, they should 'just work'
SI will try an reconnect it tomorrow and write in the support - I use a virpil extension
FTry it without the extension first. Maybe the extension cable is faulty.
FThe only reason I set it as vpc mt-50 is so I can use the coolie hat as 8 way hat.
