For instance sqlite doesn't support adding a foreign key column to an existing table, so you need to create a new table and migrate.

No, because it deeply depends on query complexity, schema, etc. It’s not 1:1. You can write millions of rows per second in many, many cases.

Currently, I am always using simple insert queries in my d1 and delegating complex queries to supabase
