MPretty sure I remember having this same issue with my laptop. Something about nvidia I’m pretty sure was the issue. I had to launch steam with my integrated AMD gpu and then launch games with my dedicated NVIDIA GPU
MWhat I’ve come to gather is, NVIDIA works on Linux, but AMD works with a lot less headaches. Personally I’ve taken Linux off of my laptop until valve releases their SteamOS for desktop image as one of the reasons they haven’t is due to poor support on NVIDIAs side
LI managed to get everthing working perfectly except big picture.
LAnd I surmise that actually big picture disables hardware acceleration
LI saw a thread on git about that but can't link it now I'm on my phone
MYeah I had everything working minus that as well. I just remember it taking more work than AMD xD
MBut I also need fusion 360 which doesn’t run great on Linux at the moment. Photoshop would be nice too
MOh and VR just ain’t there yet sadly
MVR is the biggest issue
MI can use the web for photoshop and my work computer for fusion, but VR not working well enough kinda sucks. Hopefully deckard or whatever it’s called gets valve to fix Steam VR on the Linux side of things

DI didn't realize that there are justfile related things in the config repo
Jyeah that's where they live, and then bazzite/bluefin might have specific ones, that's how I get the right things on my PCs, it works out nice
YThis is so odd. So my deck is building shaders for games it’s also downloaded shaders for? Is that a bug?
Mdid it finish downloading the shaders from steam?
Mi just saw that Bazzite supports CEC. How does this work exactly? I turn on the Deck and my TV/Receiver should turn on too? Can I control my audio on my receiver with my Deck?

Nin nobara, gnome software center handled .rpm files. no idea about discover and thinking about bazzite’s immutability system
Ni wanna install windscribe, in this case as an rpm
Mim pretty sure someone told me to just terminal in the same folder the .rpm is located, then run
rpm-ostree install "filename" Mi think i've also just right clicked and installed it from there if downloaded
Mbut it was recommended to install programs into a distrobox unless you absolutely need it on the base system

rpm-ostree install windscribe in terminal if the package is on fedora's reposNits not in repos but ok
Ni never knew you dont need sudo to install packages under rpm / dnf whatever in bazzite

Mi run mostly everything i have right now in an arch container with no issues. although i forgot to install an audio driver in the beginning and couldnt figure out why i had no audio in my browser xD

Ncinnamon desktop environment made that happen lol
Mthing is, arch isn't even that bad. the wiki is wonderful
Mits so well documented and so easily searchable on google
NArch wiki is one of few places for solution to my linux problems
