can't comment on the VKB, but I know its possible. There's a drop down menu for grip type. additionally you can have saved config files. You can launch the software with the specific config file.

Man, super excited for my Rhino. Still got a MSFFB that’s survived a generation of gaming but keen to get something new that fits my shabby cockpit over sitting on my desk
So I just filled out the form. How do I know where I am in the queue? Any ideas on what the wait time is for new orders? I’ve heard anywhere from 6 months to a year?

I'm currently using the 100 mm on my standard VKB base. I've got a 200 mm curved I wish I could use but the it just won't fit with my current setup. With the RHINO i just got (thanks @walmis you rockstar), I think i'm going to try to take out the guts of one of these and TRY to make a 50 mm. Or maybe bend the 100 mm if I can. I dunno, never tried any of this before so I'll learn as I go. Hacksaws and bending.
QR4RIGS. They are 3D printed, very light and not cheap, although feels cheap. But is an option. They also have for winwing compatibility, but then the adaptor is installed at the base instead at the grip, causing stress on the adaptor. I am replacing the virpil Z (metal and very heavy) by the 150mm goose type from the photo. I still have mixed feelings using fhe same settings used with the Z one. Note that the 100mm version only has 25mm of offset.
While it's not necessary for most, it suits my cockpit. I need a little bit of bend for my chair has no cut-out. I also like precision. The throw is ridiculous with it and I recommend using a 3D-printed limiter which takes ~ 50% away both ways. Order one from @walmis if you don't want to DIY.
I'd say it would help only in the sense that it is such a good stick, there is no sticktion, the dampening is smooth as butter the whole stick just feels premium, I went from a vkb gf3 base & when I originally upgraded to that from a x52 I thought it was the best stick base out there, but after upgrading again to the Rhino I found out just how good a stick can feel, plus you get the bonus of ffb effects, profile swapping etc. Also the Rhino has a huge length of throw like almost 44° total +/- in each axis so you have a huge range of motion to 'play with'. Hope this helps, as far as the Rhino goes it's easily the single best peripheral I have & I recommend anyone who enjoys flights simming enough to just go ahead & buy one, I seriously want two! After I do, rudders, yoke, collective I'd love to diy an even bigger motor kit! & if the winwing throttle coming out isn't really ffb & motor driven like the rhino I'll even consider doing a throttle, ffb is that good, not even so much the effects but just how good it feels, sry to rant lol, TLDR; Rhino so good, so smooth like butter, big range of motion, buy one!
On thing I will add though — generally speaking the rhino doesn’t work with axis curves in game (at least in DCS this is a no go, IL2 might be ok with native support). So this can mean that certain aircraft like the spitfire will require an extension or some practice to not overdo the sensitivity part. That said, most planes are not really an issue because the stiffer feeling of the stick often helps counteract that extra sensitivity
