If that's the legion go, the fix is to either connect to an external display once, or do the following:

1. CTRL + ALT + F2 to open a terminal. Login w your user
2. In terminal:

steamos-session-select plasma

steamos-session-select plasma

to get back into Desktop Mode
3. Launch game-mode via the shortcut on the desktop. It should boot, load and consequent reboots will work as well.

It's a weird one-off bug in Bazzite where the screen will be blank, but after loading desktop mode once or connecting an external screen, it seems to never be a problem anymore

Nested desktop can be added as a non steam game. And ya the desktop display rotating is a known issue.
