FTurned off ReBar & tried mangohud fps limiter, still no dice. Noticeable hitching is very annoying.
It's definitely the problem with optimization of Forza Horizon 4 for Steam.
Nothing changed compared to when I played the initial Steam version back in 2021.

Yokay so im starting to think the gnome version just has issues the other version doesnt have. i closed steam for a second to do something and now after opening it i can no longer use my trackpad

DThe issues are because you rebased from kde, I did the same and had to go back because it's buggy. You should do a fresh install I think
KIf you close steam you won't have proper controls, that's normal

Ygoing back to game mode using the touch screen then going back to desktop mode seems to fix it though

KYthings seems to be slowly getting it together or im finding a fix then the issue goes away so maybe it'll just take time on myh end

Mnew trackpads are a dream to use. I find myself using the right trackpad more as a joystick than the actual stick itself.

Myeah it worked fine. literally just installed Decky loader, installed the deck settings plugin from the store, and it worked

DThat's odd. I just checked it out and I'm getting a consistent 60FPS on my AMD Thinkpad (Ryzen 7 Pro 6850U, Radeon 680M iGPU), with Ultra settings too. I'm running the game under game mode, using Proton Experimental with no other options. I used the "benchmark mode" in the game to get it to select the best presets for me.

KIf you're using secure boot you need to disable it
KNote that the Ally isn't supported yet. You won't have working controls
