yeah and the new nix justfile is overwrotten the ujust executable. the actual new nix justfile isn't in the justfile folder

one thing there is i also did not select nix to be installed (but i don't know if anything else in that list of things to install depends on nix)

i'm also woefully unfamiliar with desktop-ish linux these days. i've been living and breathing it in both large-scale server linux and embedded linux (sometimes even without mmus) but i haven't used linux on a system i directly interact with in like 7-8 years

ah okay. well this is a first-time setup utility that bazzite uses. im not sure which ones depend entirely on nix tbh. the first page serves as a GUI for certain

but yeah odd because you didn't select nix to be installed... but it seems whatever the issue is getting fixed. when the update builds, your system can automatically update (or type ublue-updateublue-update in the terminal to beat the scheduled automatic update), then reboot and try the first-time setup again... sorry this happened.

oh wow, looking at that first link; the file /etc/sudoers.d/nix-sudo-env/etc/sudoers.d/nix-sudo-env there looks like a just config file.

from what i gather the bazzite portal is used for getting the system up as a deck-like? i tried just doing the defaults+decky+emudeck and it still crapped out :/

The nix justfile was overwriting ujust instead of being copied over to the directory containing the rest of the justfiles
