NI'm pretty much out of ideas.. there is no functional reason it shouldn't work through windows explorer if it works through command prompt.
Do you have any antivirus software that could be blocking it from launching? (it would be pretty poor AV if it let you launch it through command prompt but not directly through explorer)... thats about all I got left for ideas

II just tried and again I can start it with cmd
IUnder requirements I do not have the first 2 of the list, could that be the issue?

Nno.. if it runs from command prompt, it should run by double clicking the exe.. simple as that. Why its not, I just can't even guess.
N(those requirements are if you are wanting to clone the source repository and run it natively in python)

HMy TelemFFB takes a particularly long time to start up, about 4 minutes. The phenomenon is that after double-clicking, there is no response, but after 4 minutes, the window suddenly pops up. I am using the latest WIP version on November 24th. Is there any solution for this?
WCould be an issue of blocking when accessing the network and trying to fetch the new version information, can you open the link https://vpforcecontrols.com/downloads/TelemFFB/latest.json in the browser?

CHi walmis, I have a possibly strange question: could you send me a copy of the Rhino's HID Descriptor, that tells the host system about how to talk to the Rhino? I'm looking at driving a Rhino directly from a microcontroller but don't have a Rhino myself at the moment.
Specifically I'm looking at something that can try to offer a dual-control setup – that looks like a single joystick device to the 'upstream' computer, while managing two 'downstream' joysticks to allow student+instructor or similar setups.

WHi, you can buy a Rhino FFB mainboard for testing, it will still work without motors and all features will work, except input will be fixed at 0.0.
CI don't really have a need for a mainboard at this point, just the HID report descriptor would serve me for what I need right now (still in very early stages).
ITwo questions when flying warbirds in DCS when I pull hard on the stick to pitch up , I can feel resistance which feels natural, but then it gets soft and hard again kind of scilating, which effect gets rid of that?
ISecond question , When airplane is slow I can feel mushy controls, and when is fast they get harder to move, which is good, but I do feel that when the airplane is fast , the controls need to be harder to move than the effect I have currently, which effect manage this?
WThis is the G force effect in telemFFB, it adds a countering force as G increases, but due to the nature of maths involved it has a side effect of some added oscillation.
WYou reached a limit of the spring coefficient. By default the Rhino has spring gain set to reach max torque at the edge of throw, you can override this and increase the stiffness by changing the spring gain map, for example (see image) this will saturate the torque at 50% throw, it will be stiffer at the center at the cost of no more increasing torque after 50% axis travel. Also increasing this too much will cause instability and potential safety shutoff of the motors.
IThis is how I have the spring setting currently, what values do you recommend

HHey guys, sorry if this has come up before. Using the VP Force with a Virpil PAK grip and the virpil extension. I'm getting repeated uncommanded button presses regardless of what grip configuration I use. Makes binding in DCS very problematic. The grip is known good, tested on Virpil base with zero issues

Ndoes the issue still occur if you directly connect the grip to the rhino without the extension? Myself and at least one other had issues with the 200mm offset virpil extension.. the way its wired internally introduces enough noise to cause problems with the Rhino base
HYes. Persists with both. Extension also tests good on its base
Nif it persists without the extension, then thats not the issue (but my extension worked fine on the virpil base, too)
HVirpil extension, or at least my example is well made. Wiring is tidy and better than Thrustmaster or Wingwing products. I rather suspect it's a software or configuration problem with the VP Force software.

HThis is pretty clearly a fault on the VP Force softwares end IMO. Testing a TM Warthog grip on the same extension, it's working great. The VP Force software isn't processing button data from the Virpil grip IMO, especially where the brake lever is concerned. Seems like it's trying to read that axis as button presses rather than a potentiometer axis
W@hook47 Is this an old VPC T-50 model? Could you enable the debug grip profile and copy some data from the debug tab? It'll probably be an easy fix.

HI prefer the T-50 over the Warhog grip as it's much lighter/less strain on the base, so I'd prefer to revert back to it
WJust enable the Generic Grip (Debug) profile and make a screenshot or copy data from the debug tab in the vpforce configurator. It'll show data coming from the grip

HHere is the data from the Mongoose T-50 grip
GTelemFFB is sometimes not giving me the proper forces when flying IL2. Sometimes when I start up the game it acts as though spring centered, other times it gives proper forces based on the game's FFB implementation. The telemetry monitor screen shows the correct data for the plane, but I don't get any effect. I have verified that Sticky is not turned on, and if I turn off the Spring effect in FFB Configurator then the stick goes limp. I can't figure out why it does one or the other. I've even had troubles after a fresh computer restart. Anyidea on what to look for next? Currently on 0bfba240 for TelemFFB. I have used SimShaker in the past, but turned it off before the Rhino arrived. The Rhino has worked correctly several times, but sometimes gives this problem.
NTelemFFB doesn’t do much in terms of stick forces with IL2 since it implements its own dynamic stick FFB forces. TelemFFB is limited to the haptic effects that you see settings for in the config.
When writing the support for IL2, I noticed that it’s FFB implementation is pretty flaky. On some aircraft after having been on pause, it’s 50/50 whether the spring force will return to one or both axes.
Also, if the game window loses focus, all effects get reset by the sim and TelemFFB does it’s best to recover from the condition (for the haptic effects it generates)

Gahh I've been doing most of my testing in SP, which starts paused, but most of my flying is done in MP.
GI haven't tried MP without TelemFFB
