The Crosswind is excellent. If you elect not to make it FFB, I suggest getting the optional damper and dialing the spring on the pedals way down to get more of a heli feel.

If you're a total heli guy, there are some cool things that can be 3D printed for the pedals. I printed these (although I don't have them installed since I fly airplanes too, and need the brakes). https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4824434 There are more Crosswind goodies at https://t.ly/4tMzb

MFG Crosswind 105mm Pedals for SimLab P1(X) Chassis by RCHeliGuy

These are a very simple remix of the excellent Bar Pedals by Asherao that extend over the landing gear brake springs.
They are the perfect size to fit the Crosswind pedals submerged in a Simlab P1(X) frame.
105mm has 10mm clearance on both sides when the flight pedals are lowered inside the P1 frame.
In my case this allowed me to leave my flight...

The only monster mount part I was forced to buy was the expensive conversion mount kit to table bc the one part I could not source was the top plate, so I bit the bullet and got the kit. I will most likely add 5 inch parco leg pole, one more foot, and two angle brackets to support the weight.

What's great is that it's a simple setup that I can put up quickly and take it down ... All with one clamp AND I dont have to cut a hole in my chair bc the stick fits above the base. I use pads and a HF8 haptic seatpad to push me forward a bit. Works perfectly in a nice comfy bucket seat racing gaming chair like posted.

the monstertech extrusions are pricy for what they are, but what I can say they are way more accurately finished and seem to be higher quality than most of the other extrusions. also those bessey clamps are also very solid. their extrusion anodizing is also better i think. but you can build it far cheaper and source the parts yourself too.

it might seem irrelevant but Toe brake FFB combined with rudder pedal FFB would give a level of immersion and feel of a real aircraft where you can feel as it interacts with everything else, and you can accomplish it with a belt drive that rotates a stepper motor, the same as with the FFB joystick.

It’s possible. You need I think 1 of the the large motors and like some vkb rudders or the mfg crosswind. There’s a bunch of people around here that have done it

The pedal axis is the easy part. But even the smallest BLDC motors I've seen (28mm), which aren't available from VPforce, would be extremely challenging to design into the brake axes.. and even then, I doubt they could provide enough force to make a convincing hydraulic brake emulation.

In case anyone is using a Rhino with a DOF Reality motion platform, here's how I did it with my H6.
The available space is quite restricted, but it just about fitted in front of the seat on a small platform above the main spine. I fitted that on a pivot so that I could swing it forward when climbing on or off, as I'm an old fat slob !
