Pthis is one of the nicest monstertech mounts i've seen where it has a foot like that. im gonna use that on my winwing.

DThe only monster mount part I was forced to buy was the expensive conversion mount kit to table bc the one part I could not source was the top plate, so I bit the bullet and got the kit. I will most likely add 5 inch parco leg pole, one more foot, and two angle brackets to support the weight.
DWhat's great is that it's a simple setup that I can put up quickly and take it down ... All with one clamp AND I dont have to cut a hole in my chair bc the stick fits above the base. I use pads and a HF8 haptic seatpad to push me forward a bit. Works perfectly in a nice comfy bucket seat racing gaming chair like posted.
DI do racing, flying and FPS in VR with minimal space in a tiny childs size desk. Its great.
Pthe monstertech extrusions are pricy for what they are, but what I can say they are way more accurately finished and seem to be higher quality than most of the other extrusions. also those bessey clamps are also very solid. their extrusion anodizing is also better i think. but you can build it far cheaper and source the parts yourself too.

Psomething like this, but with FFB on the Toe Brakes too.
Pit might seem irrelevant but Toe brake FFB combined with rudder pedal FFB would give a level of immersion and feel of a real aircraft where you can feel as it interacts with everything else, and you can accomplish it with a belt drive that rotates a stepper motor, the same as with the FFB joystick.
PEspecially with takeoff/landing on smaller planes without autobrake.

AItβs possible. You need I think 1 of the the large motors and like some vkb rudders or the mfg crosswind. Thereβs a bunch of people around here that have done it

NThe pedal axis is the easy part. But even the smallest BLDC motors I've seen (28mm), which aren't available from VPforce, would be extremely challenging to design into the brake axes.. and even then, I doubt they could provide enough force to make a convincing hydraulic brake emulation.
DIn case anyone is using a Rhino with a DOF Reality motion platform, here's how I did it with my H6.
The available space is quite restricted, but it just about fitted in front of the seat on a small platform above the main spine. I fitted that on a pivot so that I could swing it forward when climbing on or off, as I'm an old fat slob !

AI didnβt even think about that, but coming from IRL flying I donβt think that the βbrake emulationβ for a hydraulic feel couldnβt be solved by dampeners on the toe brakes?
εThe thing is, I don't think real toe brakes normally provide any "FFB(control loading)", no? Force is the thing that common flight sim rudder pedals really lack... if shake is needed, IMO "toe shaker" or even buttkick is the way to go

ANow for rudder thatβs entirely different. But toe brakes - youβre simulating hydraulics that would have no βforce feedbackβ β dampening rods or if you wanna get freaking wildβ¦you can use small slave cylinders for a manual transmission behind the toe brakes for a real Hydraulic feel. But yeahβ¦

Nit would be cool to get some sort of hydraulic feeling on the brakes though.. the flat spring feeling is not very satisfying and its impossible to judge how hard you're really braking since it doesn't get harder to push the harder you push
AI dont know how big into sim racing you are or anything like that but there are companies that make brake and clutch pedals with master cylinders and resiviors to put DOT3-4 brake fluid in. You actually have to service the fluid every so often for moisture and such. Really cool idea. Now Iβm sure those could easily be rigged to some good rudder pedals. I dont know if you can get like huskvields cylinders and a replacement and use those or found like a clutch slave cylinder from like a Honda fit or something real small and build up a hydraulic system for the toe brakes.
Nin driving, where braking is everything, it makes sense to go through all that trouble.. for flying when you use your brakes for about 10 seconds each flight... not so much (But it would be cool all the same)
AYeah I was thinking for flying or rudder pedals if you could get just one cylinder and attach it via a rod to both toe brakes cuts down on cost and maintenance. But honestly keep the caps on and the amount of flying honestly probably once every 2 years youβre bleeding some fluid.
Nmaybe I'll just shove a couple squish-balls under the pedals that get compressed when you push on the brakes

MWhy not just set them up with load cells and elastormer bushings mashing into them like simracing pedals? With a bit of lighter spring for the preload part of the stroke they're quite convincing and dead simple

DQuick question - what are the costs for the MonsterTech Rhino mount and the winwin adapter? Also,is it possible to add the winwing adapter to an existing reservation? i'm #39 on the list as of today, but considering buying a winwing hornet stick.
