anyone has tried to deploy pages with more than 20000 files, in my case not problem with images just too many posts for a massive web site, I asked for a increase in the limits but not sure how long it will take., I've read your comments @simeononsecurity what will you do? will switch to another platform.

Either you changed the CNAME it added for you, or it did just get confused. You could manually change the DNS Record, delete the current one and add

Nice, looks like it's working now. Out of caution, did you change it or did it just never adjust it? Sometimes people use third party integrations like Ezotic which can override changes and confuse people

hmm, iirc direct upload zip via the dashboard has some magic where it sets the highest folder with files in it as the "root", could be interfering?

You can use wrangler as well to direct upload a directory:

But yea git-based projects are generally a good idea. You can direct upload via Wrangler to a git project, but you can't ever convert a direct upload to a git based project

yeah I also switched to netlify because they don't have the hard limit of 20000 files, in fact there is unlimited files with the condition that maximum per folder should be 50,000

Yeah we've discovered another issue though. Netlify is actually pretty slow at uploading your files to their servers. My website even generated ahead of time on GitHub actions, takes 20 minutes to upload just the English site
