JDoes bazzite just track the latest Silverblue, including their kernel? The bazzite-deck image should still have the nouveau driver and boot on a laptop with an NVidia card? Or is that completely not supported? I know that there is a bazzite-nvidia image I could use, but I'm just seeing if a bazzite-deck installation on an external drive could be moved to my laptop and boot there as well.
Kbazzite-deck is built straight from silverblue, right now we use the same kernel as well, but :testing has the fsync kernel which is essentially fedora+
Knouveau is on all images, including nvidia
Kbut nvidia explicitly disables it via files in etc
Kcan't guarantee gamemode works in nouveau however
Kit definitely does not with Nvidia's driver
JI have an existing Silverblue on an external SSD that I use to boot my laptop. I was planning on doing an
rpm-ostree reset on it, edit the kargs to remove the disabling of the nouveau driver, then rebase to bazzite-deck. I'm hoping to use that to get a working bootable installation for my Steam Deck.Kthat should work

KBTRFS is generally better thanks to compression
KIf this does fix it for you, you're the 2nd person we've seen here with this issue in the history of this project
KFedora also defaults to BTRFS for the root drives, so using it on the SD too makes sense

kinoite-nvidia here pretty soon, but I've been looking into Bazzite and I'm curious. Until just recently I assumed it was purely a SteamOS type thing, so what's the difference between regular UBlue Kinoite and Bazzite Desktop? Are they fairly similar, but Bazzite has more gaming-focused drivers and stuff, or does it also have UI/DE overhauls bundled with it?VApologies if what I'm asking is entirely incomprehensible haha, I'll be quite honest I know next to nothing about all this. I'm just wondering if Bazzite Desktop is also trying to be a play-on-your-couch, big-picture mode type thing or if it's literally just UBlue with more gaming stuff bundled in. I'm looking for just a normal desktop experience so I don't really want the former.

Tsince you have a nvidia GPU, you actually only have the choice of the normal desktop version since the version with "Game Mode" doesn't run with the nvidia drivers
