Ti think there is come confusion lol. GNOME images have the application (also named System Monitor) as a flatpak, while KDE's system monitor is system package yes

Pyou can layer it if you need that for whatever reason but if it's for dev work use containers

P@_cryptagion you enter the relevant container when you need it. if you're doing dev stuff on an immutable distro you should usually be doing everything inside a container so that you don't have to layer a bunch of packages into the "stable base OS", slowing down

Pthere's just recipes to create distrobox containers for a bunch of popular distros included in bazzite,
ujust distrobox-archujust distrobox-fedoraenter them with
distrobox-enter <container name>and install packages as normal,
dnfpacmanparuthere's an easy-to-follow guide for getting vscode to work with containers for distrobox or toolbox whichever you go with.

JI just did an update and it only downloaded 168mb instead of the usual 1.4gb. Did y’all get partial upgrade downloads working?
LHello everyone I'm new here and new to bazzite. I have some things I need some help with which I have numbered to make it easier to reference, I'm not sure if I'm supposed to make a new topic in the help channel for each of these or what? This is on desktop Bazzite KDE, with an AMD GPU.
- The following apps crash within a few seconds of using them, usually from clicking anything in their UI, but sometimes it crashes even without clicking anything:LutrisBottlesBoxesClamTK(Crashes during scan only)
- I attempted to install battlenet and epic store using the buttons in Bottles, but neither will run.
- Sometimes Spotube only loads up with a transparent window and I can't see any of the UI.
- FocusWriter randomly freezes.
- Nuclear sometimes stops playing music for no apparent reason and I can't get the music to start working again.
- I need an antivirus with a GUI that actually works in Bazzite as I fear some of my files may be infected due to some people accessing my accounts somehow.
- A bunch of random files with weird characters that I can't even view appeared in my home folder and I'm not able to move, open or delete them. I looked it up online and other people had the same thing and noone knows why, but I fear it may be related to issue 6.
- How do I install linux programs that aren't an appimage or not found in discovery app? There's so many linux programs with different versions that I wanted to try but none of them will install for instance .sh, .deb, etc files, none of them work.
- Is there no way to run virtualbox in bazzite? Boxes won't work so what else can I use?
- Is it normal that the root /usr/share/themes folder is read only?
- A lot of programs open with the borders and title bar off the edges of the screen and can't be moved/accessed.

Kgiven the crashing by Clam & the files, this looks like a pretty nasty case of filesystem corruption
Kvirtualbox can be layered and work, as can any other fedora package
Kadditionally distrobox will let you use packages for other distros
LUh oh, I'm not sure exactly what that entails. How is it happening? How do I fix it? I just installed bazzite and moved files onto it. And I checked the SSD health and also benchmarked it before installing the OS on it and everything was fine.
T- i dont usually have issues with lutris, bottles, or boxes crashing personally. easiest way to debug them is to run them in the terminal and read the logs when it crashes.
would probably be the easiest to run if you can easily reproduce that. but i see kyle thinks its filesystem corruptionlutris - I'm not too sure about Bottles and Bnet, ive gotten that to work previously with Bottles, but you could try Lutris unless that's causing crashes there. Highly recommend just install Bnet with the lutris script though to see if that fixes it. Try to install Heroic in Discover for Epic Games

T.sh are bash scripts. right click > properties > permissions > Is executableand right click the program again and select "Run in Konsole" or open a terminal in the file manager in the location of the .sh file and enter

I did get Bnet working on lutris but it crashed a 100 times on the way to try and get it installed. 3. I'm sorry what is this in reference to? as 3 was about spotube. 4. the same with this, what was this in reference to? as 4 was about focuswriter.
