I have used ntfs on some drives, but not the main OS drive of course. I have some unreal engine files that are exremely long and often have weird characters(from Unreal engine marketplace)

Using chimera os atm but got an issue with switch pro controllers being duplicated after a reboot turning the controller off and on again fixes issue other wise have duplicated input. Same issue with holo iso, any ideas if bazzite has the same issue?

one example: NTFS does not support :: characters in file names. Wine prefixes have symlinks to c:c: or z:z: which include the unsupported character. this is the core reason why people say to not use NTFS drives for linux gaming. if you offload the prefix to a compatible file system (and symlink it if needed), you can play off of NTFS without issues.

NTFS also has a 255 or so character limit per filename component

has anyone here successfully patched nvidia drivers with the keylase patches without building a custom image? Or has there been consideration in including these patches in the base image? Ive tried looking for any insight on if itd even be possible to patch the driver without a custom image but my searches havent been successful

couple days into bazzite and I'm quite impressed, normally I find glaring design issues I disagree with in these types of projects, but so far I'm quite happy I don't have to manually craft a arch image (was my original plan)
