hmm what do you mean by that? They run behind proxy, you can have V4/V6 only workers ex: https://v4.chaika.me/, https://v6.chaika.me/, have to use Ent Spectrum though.
Free plan can still disable IPv6 last I checked, should make any workers v4 only (on that zone/domain via routes or custom domains). Can't do that for v6 though without Spectrum

One of my function is waiting for a promise to be resolved. Imagine it took 10 seconds for promise to be resolved in which the network call took 9 seconds to fetch the response. In this case, how much I would be billed for?

There’s nothing stopping you from using WebSockets with a Worker, you just can’t hibernate them like you can a Durable Object, so you’ll be billed for as long as the Worker has an open websocket connection (using Standard Pricing, for example)

I guess technically you could use D1, store state in there and have each Worker poll for state change but it’s getting real dicey now esp. considering DO’s keep it much simpler

Hey, I would like to create an API that multiple people can use. People should be able to easily create a token and use it. This token should be linked to their "account". I first tried to do this with unkey, but the cost is too high for me because I think I need a fair amount of "verifications". I recently ran into the hono framework and plan to use it. Millions per second for workers. You can use the cache api if you want. You can also use public buckets to add your domain instead of using a worker.

R2 can handle a few thousand rps (like 15-20k iirc). But cache can push that further since it won’t hit R2

Yea R2 would be your bottleneck there, not workers. There's no cache by default with Workers, but you could use the cache api (or use an existing library like kotx/render which does it for you) and save on some Class Bs and faster responses (at the cost of consistency).
If you can use R2 Custom Domains even better pricing wise since you're not paying for the Worker, and then you can just use a Cache Rule to force caching

Sounds like a use case for CF for SaaS https://developers.cloudflare.com/cloudflare-for-platforms/cloudflare-for-saas/, special setup for Workers: https://developers.cloudflare.com/cloudflare-for-platforms/cloudflare-for-saas/start/advanced-settings/worker-as-origin/
It's what Pages/R2 use internally for Custom Domains
You'd have to take over the entire hostname/subdomain though, ex: example.client.com, can't just route specific paths. You could of course 404 on all but /endpoint
