What is the maximum database size we can go with cloud flare D1/R1 etc...
What is the backup / DR scenarios works in this?
Can we restrict the data to be stored only in a particular region (the database)

The max D1 Database size currently is 2 GB for Workers Paid and 500 MB for free: https://developers.cloudflare.com/d1/platform/limits/
It'll likely be raised before GA
The new databases do not support exporting currently but do support time travel to restore older versions: https://developers.cloudflare.com/d1/learning/time-travel/
