What's the difference in fit between women's vs men's trousers?
I keep finding trousers I like on websites but they are in the women's section - I've broadly avoided buying them because I assume there is a significant difference in the way that they are constructed/tailored but is that true?
Most recently, I've been considering buying these. I looked at the measurements and the long inseam option would fit me typically - wondering if I should bother or keep looking around for similar in mens https://www.abercrombie.com/shop/uk/p/tailored-straight-pants-51073082?faceout=model&seq=07

Those look relatively straight all the way up so I'd wager not much difference to men's cut
Where you might see differences are in trousers that are cut to sit higher on the waist but are bigger in the hips - or also sometimes low-rise trousers in the women's section are very low rise and won't leave much space in the crotch area (you can usually tell if this is the case just by looking at how short the fly is or isn't)
These look pretty neutral to my eye though
Probably the top block - hip/rise measurements are where you'll see differences in men's and women's pants. Maybe not as bad with larger cuts though
One thing to be wary of is always pockets though
Teeny tiny useless pockets
