VUblue updates are atomic, you basically can't brick it.
VIt doesn't apply any of the update if it's only partially updated

CSilverblue, and by extension the universal blue stuff, update through the use of
rpm-ostree updateyou need to reboot to boot into the new image.
CI do hope that they implement soft-reboots for non-kernel updates sometime though. That'd be nice, especially for systems with luks encryption

Cyou'll see a notification if you are in desktop mode, yes
Cif you're in game mode on bazzite you'll just use the normal steamdeck update workflow

II am, well kinda, 2 of my kids are using it as their daily driver desktop pc. 14 and 16yo, working well for them overall. they like it beter than windows, been able to run pretty much any games they want in steam.
IBut anyway, popped in here to check things out. I deployed Bazzite onto a minisforum HX99G between Christmas & NY. Been working pretty darn well. a few quirks here or there but a pretty great experience overall. Even have VR working in desktop mode with a Vive headset. that is more than a little quirky but overall its been a fun project to get up and running. Might eventually have to try it on my deck too.

IYea, I daily drive fedora kde on several machines, for work and personal but for the kids the added things Nobara takes care of easily is nice. Though the immutable base on ostree is stuff I've been wanting to play with so I'm enjoying the process so far. Tempted to rebase one of my laptops onto one of the blue based setups to get more hands on.

Iare you planning to build or buy? do you already have some hardware? Depending on needs there are a few different mini pc mfgs out there that make ryzen based systems if that route interests you, thats what I just picked up, one with a discreet AMD GPU, and im pretty happy with the purchase.
