for me on OLED. Steps to reliably reproduce:

1) Boot SD.
2) Put to sleep.
3) Wake from sleep.
4) Go to desktop mode.
5) 'Van Gogh' (or whatever it is named) audio device disappears, audio applet shows no control sliders (displays "no audio devices present/detected" or something like that) and no audio is produced. It also persists if you go back to gamescope.

Only Deck reboot fixes it.

i know using dd works, not sure about the other tools that clonezilla uses sadly, the whole idea with ublue is that github will have your system image so you only need to focus on backing up your $HOME

but ideally you would have your changes for that in your own custom image.

but yeah if you roll your own image using startingpoint, github will be your "clonezilla" and the only thing you have to back up then is the userfiles.
if you are not using your own image and add stuff to

/etc

/etc

and

/usr/local

/usr/local

then you will have to backup those too but everything else is read only

startingpoint is also very easy to configure and setup

I would assume so as it works perfectly fine backing up and restoring SteamOS i would use clonezilla live Ubuntu variant not the plain Debian one.. clonezilla use a method to determine the best way to 1:1 backup the source disk.. not super familiar on the method i guess ask clonezilla devs if you are that interested.. but nonetheless it should work. I believe theres a way to do a "dry run" to see if everything works like it should without affecting anything but idk how to myself.
