Hi Boffins. My pedals keep throwing this up. I've been swapping USB ports but no change. They reset themselves as the joystick. Getting a bit boring, any ideas?

If you are pushing vpconf profiles via TelemFFB, make sure the profile is for the right PID, or it will overwrite what’s on the device currently.

OK, so it just did it again, when TelemFFB did a push. Would you suggest I delete my pedal configs and start again to make sure? Looked in the pedal config file and can't see actual PID number, but the serial look correct.

in that file:

"usb_pid": 8275,

"usb_pid": 8275,

decimal 8275 = 0x2053

I assume 2053 is the correct PID for your pedals. Check the logs and make sure it is loading the file you think it is.. look for a line like this in the logs:

example .bat file, you start as a .txt and then when you create it change it to .bat ... this is then an executable.
If you want to edit it later, use notepad++ to edit.

Hopefully somebody can help, I am trying to update the firmware on my rhino via the web app at https://vpforce.eu/usb/rhino/ but when I try to connect, the app searches for the rhino indefinitely and never finds it. Any idea why?

From what I gathered this also require a chromium browser, so for simplicity sake just use chrome to do it.

Firefox is not supported at all.

I am using chrome ,and changing usb port made the web app able to recognise the rhino base, so now my rhino is connected but when I hit the update firmware tab I get this error.... NetworkError:Failed to execute 'ClaimInterface' on 'USBDevice': Unable to claim Interface.

All the telemetry for DCS is generated by the export script. That file hasn’t changed in some time. It pulls a lot of generic telemetry and some aircraft specific telemetry. There is no special telemetry it is pulling for the A4 (generally mod aircraft are pretty thin in available data).

If you have the A4 added to your user config as a Jet, you should see the same available effect settings as any other DCS jet. Whether they work or not will depend on the telemetry (or lack thereof) from the A4.

The DL log lines are there whether or not the download is being slow. They just scroll by really fast normally.

I’ve seen the DL site act slow before myself (whether manual download or via updater).

I have the Brunner stick base, just ordered a DIY kit because I want to play with the different DirectX systems. I love flying the F15E but find the autopilot in the SE doesn't jive well with FFB. I'll let you know the exact dimensions once I get back to my office. I won't be able to get you the original cut out width, as I already cut mine. But from what I remember, it was relatively easy as long as you have a long serrated knife (or even better, one of those hot foam cutter). The cushion cover is velcroed, so the foam is easy to access.
