Hopefully somebody can help, I am trying to update the firmware on my rhino via the web app at https://vpforce.eu/usb/rhino/ but when I try to connect, the app searches for the rhino indefinitely and never finds it. Any idea why?
I am using chrome ,and changing usb port made the web app able to recognise the rhino base, so now my rhino is connected but when I hit the update firmware tab I get this error.... NetworkError:Failed to execute 'ClaimInterface' on 'USBDevice': Unable to claim Interface.
All the telemetry for DCS is generated by the export script. That file hasn’t changed in some time. It pulls a lot of generic telemetry and some aircraft specific telemetry. There is no special telemetry it is pulling for the A4 (generally mod aircraft are pretty thin in available data).
If you have the A4 added to your user config as a Jet, you should see the same available effect settings as any other DCS jet. Whether they work or not will depend on the telemetry (or lack thereof) from the A4.
anyone having trouble with the auto update for the latest version of TelemFFB ? ver e340c3dc ? downloading real slow and making hundreds on lines of ...downloading C;\users:....\temp.zip in a command line screen.
30 minutes of download and the application closed down, its attempting to download again. same problem with the manual download. I'm guessing its a github issue
I have the Brunner stick base, just ordered a DIY kit because I want to play with the different DirectX systems. I love flying the F15E but find the autopilot in the SE doesn't jive well with FFB. The center is too mushy and effects what the autopilot does. Works well when the terrain following radar is coupled though. How does the Rhino fair with the F15E?
This is the answer i got back from SSA dev "SSA uses mostly 3d model arguments from DCS. so it read the values from the 3d model... some are extracted via the export.lua interface..."
I'll let you know the exact dimensions once I get back to my office. I won't be able to get you the original cut out width, as I already cut mine. But from what I remember, it was relatively easy as long as you have a long serrated knife (or even better, one of those hot foam cutter). The cushion cover is velcroed, so the foam is easy to access.
oh that's good the foam is easy to get too, I'll take it too "Clark foam & rubber" if I have too, oooh I could get the whole foam thing cut right down, then have room for the HF8 with a gel type foam over top????
likely tomorrow I'm going to order the; TR160, NLR Flight seat & the NLR HF8. I saved for the 4080, but thethere were no sales at end of year plus 4080 super is coming out in a few weeks now & I wana see the real price here in Aus, I mean I can run my games/sims atm fine, I have shit/ no real mounts through, so going to get this stuff instead & re save for either the 4080 super, or 4090. Cheers for your help m8
With all the improvements to teleFFB there hasn’t been a firmware update that I’ve missed is there? I went to the website and just confirmed I’ve got the latest from where it looks like September was the last update.
Here you go. Looks like it's around 140mm thick. Also, notice the steel seat pan also has a cut out - depending on how you are mounting your rhino, you may need to cut/grind a bigger opening.
cheers m8, thanks for those pics, one last thing, how far back is that metal plate from the seat edge, is it the same size as the foam cut out or in it a bit bigger? Thanks again m8
You mean the seat pan? Yes, it's covered with that black fabric. That's glued in, so it's a little anoying if you are drilling through it (drill bits will bind and may even break).
