no audio hardware found on Mac

Hey guys, I'm having issues with tModLoader finding my audio interface. I'm rocking Mac. Any chance you guys can help me with resolving this issue?

I use a Universal Audio Apollo x8p for my interface. I do music stuff on the side(composing/film scoring/recording).

funny enough, it works if I use the internal speakers on my glossy trashcan Mac Pro.

Yup. So it is FAudio related.
Short answer; I believe tml works with 2 channel 16 bit 48khz.

What's interesting is that I play the game with my nephews and I use a mic on Input 3 of the interface, and then sum all the monitor audio to inputs 1 and 2 so that my nephews can hear me speaking through Discord through the mic.

Probably a part of the problem. Less common the use case, less likely it is developed with in mind.

That said, the workaround version listed is known to cause other bugs that lead to crashes instead of just no audio, so its usually not shipped

I won't say it's not impossible.
You can try manually grabbing a copy from https://github.com/tModLoader/tModLoader/releases/tag/v2023.08.3.4
And replacing the FAudio file?
I have zero knowledge if it will work

apologies, I keep looking for possibilities but have struggled to find anything, especially specific to OSX.
Did see a recent post where someone tried something and it fixed for them:
No audio hardware found. Disabling all audio
