There’s the occasional person willing to look beyond the SteamOS branding to find Chimera, Bazzite or Nobara, but so many are just listing features from any of these 3

as another update on the legion go with bazzite, if I run this script on the latest testing branch, it seems to fix 144hz and 60hz + fps limiters. https://github.com/aarron-lee/legion-go-tricks/blob/main/enable_60_144hz.sh

note that this is without the neptune kernel, whereas on nobara we needed the neptune kernel for this to work

@cpuccino I think you're also on a LGO with bazzite, right? when you have some spare time, could you try this and see if 144hz + fps limiter seems fixed for you? https://github.com/aarron-lee/legion-go-tricks/blob/main/enable_60_144hz.sh

note that you'll need to disable the unified refresh rate limiter under Steam's display settings

also a quick check on 60hz + fps limiter would also be good to do.

Additionally I've reworked how valve applies their wireplumber changes, which should have fixed the random audio crashing people were seeing

From what I can tell, it was a race condition issue due to the changes valve makes requiring wireplumber read it's config from run

Instead I applied the same fix we did for SE linux, where the original config is moved into usr/local and mounted back over top

you would need to do that using a live usb that lets you open up a partition manager you are comfortable with like gparted and rename it from there, as you cannot do it while the disk is mounted

only works with deck hardware though as it is deck specific (meaning it also works with the guilikit sticks as they are deck compatible), so you cant calibrate controllers with it

Previously, when running a game at 144hz it would often artificially cap fps at 72fps max. The fps limiter would also be buggy and completely wrong. This should fix it
