RI built my own gimbal. The extension is just enough so that the grip clears my thighs.

RYes the cushion cover is velcroed it comes right off.
Poh you cut it out so the whole rhino base fits in? ok, my rhino will still be 'floor' mounted & only the extension coming up to the cut out
PI see the velcro on the seat pan material for the seat cushion, but sorry to ask again just to be sure the actual cover material on the seat cushion itself, does that come off to reveal the foam underneath? sry to ask again just wana be clear

RHere is how it’s mounted. My gimbals size is smaller than the rhino and the way I had it mounted I didn’t have to cut the steel seat pan, just the cushion. YMMV

Pthey should of made the cut out in the seat pan over sized for that reason too

Pplaning on getting that pit; TR160, the green marking was me trying to show my m8 how I'll make an adjustable Rhino mount
Pon the inside walls put some 160x40 profile mounted vertically then between them a 160x40 'laying flat', that should give adjustments in both directions horizontal & vertical

PI need to talk to pagani tomorrow & ask about the specs for the seat mounts
RYeah, if you don't have any hang ups on modding it as soon as you get it, it's really not a difficult task as long as you have some basic tools
PI'd say it'd be different to how your's does as it's the standalone version
Preally considering taking the foam base to a foam & rubber shop & getting it cut for the hf8 & a gel/mem foam topper, I don't have any meat on my arse lol
Rhaha it's really not that difficult. I got a turkey cutter knife, and it went through the foam quite easily.
Phow far back does it recline? enough for laying back a bit?
RIt reclines quite a bit, you don't have ot worry about that.
Ror do you mean slide back? it slides about 5-6 inches
Poh yeah, just to make the cut out bigger I'll diy with a big bread knife, but I may go as far as the mem foam/hf8 cut out mod, I have heard ppl say the jetseat/hf8 can get a bit sore after a while

Ryeah, it has the lift the grip syste, it's reversed, underneath the grip instead.

DIs there a way to invert the trim hat when using DCS? I had to invert the installation of the box… the X and Y axis work just fine. The trim hat works, however it seems to trim in the opposite direction. When I trim nose up, the stick trims down and vice versa.
AIIRC there is a FFB tune menu in DCS controls/axes screen. Try inverting the FFB there.
DTried that…. Did not seem to help the trim.

WFirst thing to check is if the axis in VP configurator is correct, i.e. if you move the stick forward it should go up
DIt does. The stick itself is working correctly. Because I had to install the base backwards, the stick axis had to be inverted, it works correctly. The trim hat, not only in button mode are they button pushes very vague (half the time when you push up in the trim switch it registers as a right push) on the hat switch, DCS is registering no effect in button mode. If I change the grip to a Virpil grip in the menu, a hat switch becomes available, but the switch appears inverted, meaning when I push nose down trim (hat switch up) the stick trims nose up.

DI think so. With the TM F-18 grip, I do not seem to be able to get the stick to recognize the hat switch, it recognizes it as button pushes. If I change the grip in the setup menu to a Virpil grip, it sees the hat switch as a hat switch, but then inverts the effect of pushing the switch, even though in the VP program I see the 'arrows' correctly displaced.
