Wow, I've discovered a really weird bug. So when I run any game through my USB-C/Displaylink port (USB 3.2 with DisplayPort), the game picture freezes while still responding. Alt-tabbing to get it out of focus shows that it's fully responsive at full framerate, but focusing back on it freezes the image again.
My HDMI port (2.0) works perfectly without issues, although at only 2k 144hz.

Yeah I don't know what's up, I just can't play the symlink as a video file. Haruna refuses to play it and isn't spitting anything the terminal, Steam doesn't like it
