Hardware improvements and a q3/4 release date I do get. It's 1.5 years after ally 1

Mostly including an additional gyro in the controllers, SD fix, maybe thinner bezels

However with amd only touting extra ai performance and the z1 having ai disabled I doubt we will get a z2

The 8000u is not a big enough upgrade over 7000u imo they might release an oled screen and hey need 32 gb as a min it might be more like the steam deck oled if anything

The 8000u is not an upgrade period lol. It's literally the same. Z1 has the ai cores disabled so it's the same chip

The only reason it performs better is because they shoved more watts and better screen. But you can't do that over the ally

Vrr is still killer feature on the ally and yes auto uma working on Linux would be nice as well as a auto tdp like handheld companion has in windows that’s where the major power savings would happen

I am going to mess around with STAPM when I get home for work on the ally it’s the weekend I will do some before and after benchmarks , does anyone have a wattage etc they want to see Tested? I was going to use cyberpunk or forza or shadow of tomb as they have pretty stable benchmarks

Yeah, you can modify the settings json directly, it should work. $HOME/homebrew/settings/SimpleDeckyTDP/settings.json$HOME/homebrew/settings/SimpleDeckyTDP/settings.json, modify maxTDP to 50
