MYou don't need to customize or craft. If you're in the US, go to 8020.net, and order the amount of 40 series extrusion you need (measure from desk to floor, make sure you get it right, go short if you have to), have them tap the top and bottom with 1/4" or whatever you want holes so you can attach a top plate, and then order another, shorter beam for the horizontal, have them cuz the holes to attach the beams together in the horizontal, and I'm pretty sure they even sell the hardware for the mount there. Then get a clamp off Amazon, a plate from monstertech, and see if monstertech will sell you a top plate to go with it. Order feet that screw in and are threaded the same as the holes from 8020, should take all of 10 minutes to build and only require an allen key
Phey m8 with the right extension combo you should be able to floor mount the Rhino, if it's possible for you all you need is a piece of plywood big enough for your chair to sit on with enough room in front for the Rhino to get bolted too, this wouldn't really take up any/much more room than what your chair takes up now.

TA few less option at Zyltech but cost is much better on the similar items.

Jtnutz.com is also a good place to get extrusion in the US. 15-series is equivalent to 40-series
BLike, how compatible are the 2? If I have some 40 Series, can I just add onto it with 15 series, or will that cause issues?
Looks like the 2 slots on the 3.0 side are 1.9 mm closer on center than in 40 series. I don’t know if that’s enough difference to cause problems, or within normal tolerances

TMy bad, I saw 40 series and my mind went to 20-4040. Zyltech is cheaper than 8020 for the smaller profiles but doesn’t have the larger profiles.
TTnutz as mentioned above was the cheapest for 1.5” that I priced out recently but if you need 4080 there is also parco-inc
TParco was more expensive than tnutz but looks cheaper than 8020.net for 4080

BHmm, the extrusion and machining is definitely less than 8020.net... but shipping is more. And some of hardware is more expensive, some less... so on balance it's about a wash.
MI made the mistake of ordering a bunch of 15 series instead of 40 series but I will say that a lot of the MT mounting plates will work if you downsize the screws. Still better to just pick the correct extrusion though, lol
BYeah it’s about $200 shipped to build this (with clamp and top from an existing MT mount) using 8020.net. But I think it’s rock solid, so don’t regret the purchase.

THey guys, I'm putting a thrustmaster grip on for the first time (Hornet Grip). Doing a search here and elsewhere all I find is that TM is "default"... does that mean the "generic" setting in the dropdown for grips? If yes and I'm[ not missing something, then something isn't right. I'll have to check that no pins are bent as I've seen that before.
TConnection looks fine, so pretty sure it's not that.
AI'm using the TM Hornet grip with the generic setting and all buttons are recognised.
TThanks, I don't know what was going on but it seemed to fix it when I unplugged and replugged the grip to check the pins. I'll take it LOL.
TEverything is working great now.
