You have my thanks for being brave and using a 1st gen Apple product, as well as spending the large amount of money as a cutting edge user on it so that the rest of us can get that tech in a few years for 1/4 the cost (If it proves viable as a product).
For real though, I love the idea of it, but the cost and the fact that it's (probably, I haven't checked for sure) very locked down in it's current incarnation makes it a no go for me. But we need people who will be early adopters if new ideas are to get a chance to succeed.
I’m not sure if it’ll go right to experimental or bleeding-edge. I presume bleeding-edge, which means you also have to opt-in to the beta within your Steam Library on the entry in tools
Bleeding edge/hotfix sounds like a potential disaster zone for a game running with Denuvo. I remember someone always hitting the limit because they thought they were being clever with Hogwarts
you may need to enable proton logging and verify its actually the latest bleeding edge version too, i've had it download a cached older version of bleeding edge before that i'd need to wipe the prefix of and redownload proton experimental but with bleeding-edge beta pre-selected
