FWeird issue. Brand new bazzite install on my desktop, and steam only starts from the terminal.

KOur updater will keep that entire arch image up to date, so no need to worry about it @Frozen
You can also use a Fedora or Ubuntu box to do this same thing, really whatever you prefer.
