there is also a chance this can all be avoided with a kernel argument too, something like hid_apple.fnmode=0hid_apple.fnmode=0 but idk if that will work

Figured it out - It seems that tray icon (and solaar itself will work in the background) only if there is already a compatible device connected by the time solaar is launched. If solaar is launched with

--window=hide

--window=hide

option and there is no device connected, then it will silently close immediately.

is for rpm-ostree
anything inside the quotes gets passed to dracut when rpm-ostree rebuilds the initramfs.
the issue is that if you pass new args to

rpm-ostree initramfs

rpm-ostree initramfs

without our workaround, it will remove all previous additions since you need to provide it both new and old arguments if you want to keep anything that was added previously (and rpm-ostree has no good way to show you the old arguments with the correct quotations, hence our workaround in bazzite)

I'm at a point where I'm convinced bazzite just hates my bluetooth headphones. My laptop can hook up to em fine and that's also on Fedora 39 but bazzite just wants nothing to do with anything. Annoying...

I figured that was the case, I've just been setting up the new install for the last couple days, so I haven't had a chance to really see if anything has happened in the background.

Anyone who uses encrypted install, also have a text-only prompt at boot for unlocking the hd since last update?
Sometimes the graphical Plymouth prompt just dissapears for no reason and re-appears after a few boots (or updates)
