the KDE version of nested desktop is shipped by KDE/Valve officially so it tends to be more reliable while the gnome variant is totally custom

honestly i might rebase to bazzite-ally from bazzite-ally-gnome assuming it could be done with no/minimal damage just because i find gnome setup a little bit too hacked up for me

I’ve heard it’s recommended to reinstall rather than rebase going from one desktop environment to another, but I’ve also done exactly that on my current Ally install without issue so it’s really up to your own judgement
