The cache hits should still be the same speed regardless I would think but I did notice a cache hit on yours was actually faster by like 10-20ms. Might be the fact that hes doing a for loop of fetches though and the event loop is causing a delay in returning the event or something not sure

The one annoyance with using a binding instead of a fetch call is that concurrent calls can go through vs a fetch cache multiple concurrent calls will all wait on the one cache result
