Linen Shirts
Looking for some linen t shirts, should they ideally be 100% linen?

Definitely t-shirts over short sleeve linen shirts?
Or even long sleeves would be okay?
Looking at long sleeves briefly, these are what I liked personally and are what I would consider branching out, but not sure if anything looks good in this here collection? Then again I have no taste.
Hell yeah man, I love long sleeves with sleeves rolled up
Honestly muji has some really nice pieces in hemp and linen
I'm gonna hit the shower, then head to the mall again, I really am cutting close with my time lol
Hahaha
Also stand/band/grandpa collar shirts go hard in India
I’d also recommend heading to a fabIndia when you get to Goa
Well I want longevity out of pieces too, if that is grandpa stuff, then I won't bother
It’s just the shape of the collar
Uniqlo linen shirts are worth a try as well. their linen blend pants are pretty nice too
This iconic outfit for ex, has a band collar shirt
Uniqlo probably my best bet to cut down on school fees
Got any vintage/thrift stores around?
Lowest school fees there are
actual linen t-shirts are a bit rare but some brands like alex crane & club monaco have them. I think gap sometimes does linen blend. Patagonia also has hemp blend tees and hemp shirts
Yeah linen t-shirts tend to be a slightly more luxury item
So even blended would be fine.
Wait Uniqlo is 100%
That'll do
Yeah 100% linen is really common and most brands should be putting that stuff out soon
Might not be all over the shop floor yet
Also depends on how cold it is wherever you currently are
(Whenever I see @zeometer typing I know I should shut up because better advice is on its way)
seconding this
muji linen is better than uniqlo's imo
I think their only linen pieces right now are all stand collars, which is weird but I haven’t felt their hemp stuff in person
Been rocking an olive ish linen shirt from them for a couple years now, no worse for wear
They release seasonally, so spring is a good time to start checking for shirts to go up
Alex Crane has some linen pants I've been meaning to try. I might as well grab a few button ups while I'm at it
their bo pants look pretty good. I have some of the shorts and they're really nice but a little too slim for me
everything that i would want to say has been said lol
i will +1 the recommendation for long sleeve linen button downs though
they aren't that hot (unbutton a collar or roll up the sleeves), they're a decent protector from the sun/bugs and in cooler months they can be layered under sweaters or jackets
Nice! Any color recommendations?
Also for future reference, what kind of a pant would go well with a long sleeve linen button down shirt?
I can go to Muji, it's a bit further away, but anyone have any hemp items from there to comment on quality?
Not today, but maybe tomorrow with a bit of planning
Make sure they even have them in stock in the store first
white is a classic but other light colors (off-white, light yellow or beige, even a light blue) will work
and with linen shirts the obvious answer is linen pants because they'll both have the nice (good) wrinkles. chinos (khaki, olive) or jeans (pick your favorite shade of blue) will work.
linen shirts are usually less serious and more rugged so there's a wider room for interpretation
this is a linen shirt I got from Kissa Goi, an Indian company. I really like the design and the linen is nice and super breathable
this is a linen shirt from Brooks Brothers, it's more of a classic button down shape but I like wearing it alone or under a jacket
I'll just add that if you're outside all day you'll want to wear sunblock under the shirt. Breathable linen means fibers are further apart and that more UV light gets in. I speak from experience!!
I'm prepared. Thanks for the tip!
Thoughts on this yellow?
could be good in the right fit. collar's a bit wimpy
Is this the blue you were talking about? It seems dark
do they have a beige? that natural / undyed linen color can be really nice
Yeah
They also have a grey that looks light blueish to my eyesight
pic?
There's an odd reflection, let me know if you want better pics
Nevermind
I like the biege color
if I were you, I wouldn't buy from uniqlo and instead would buy one of the ones in the ebay link I sent. but if you're set on buying new, it's not a bad choice
Large too small? Feels a bit tight in my left shoulder
yeah, a lil small. linen is supposed to be loose and breezy
try the XL
maybe even XXL
Apparently air drying your hair after you submerge it in cold water at the end of a shower makes it do weird things too. Learn new things every day lol
Will do
I've got a XL crew white tee on underneath fyi. This is a XL white for reference
that size looks pretty good!
Here's the Beige XL with no t shirt underneath, I tried to get "creative" with sleeves, I've never rolled a shirt like this in my life so bare with me..
yep looks solid!
Thanks, I just want something versatile for my trip to wear casual. This is it! I will definitely save the eBay link for future use when I get back in April
Spier Mackey has good deals on linen shirts w button down collars. I really like mine.
