installation should be fine. all you had to do was not make a root account, go through the bazzite portal, and reboot (and maybe some secure boot hurdles if you have that enabled on the go)

there's stuff that needs to happen in the background while you do that too, but unsure if that would affect anything like this. pre-installed flatpaks like firefox get installed in the background and stuff like the image being signed happen

i just kind of maintain the documentation. if this happened after a reboot though then the coincidence of it being a steam issue might not be it
