Tthere's stuff that needs to happen in the background while you do that too, but unsure if that would affect anything like this. pre-installed flatpaks like firefox get installed in the background and stuff like the image being signed happen

Ti dont use the game mode images since i dont really have a device to put them on yet...
Ti just kind of maintain the documentation. if this happened after a reboot though then the coincidence of it being a steam issue might not be it

KBazzite shell theme, you can disable it in tweaks. To answer why -- keeps the icon spacing consistent w/ tray icons

�Recently noticed that the 2.3.0 release mentioned "Add support for AIR Plus" under the listed features, so I decided to give it a go on my handheld. Attempting to launch the installer presented me with a black screen but I was able to get the installation going by using an external monitor. After the installation completed and the device rebooted I still haven't been able to get any video on the internal panel. Has anyone here had any luck getting it working properly on this device? I have the Intel i3 1215u AIR Plus.

Zprobably was bc it was tuesday night. i had the same issues yesterday night, and it's the time when steam servers go down for maintenance
