Depending on the game, there might be a transparent window decoration created which ends up breaking unredirection/direct scanout, which in turn breaks VRR. So far I've had success running the game in gamescope, both embedded and nested mode. Gamescope I guess ends up being the parent window and does not have transparent decorations, so once fullscreened VRR works. To fullscreen gamescope nested in Gnome, you do need to set the Gnome fullscreen shortcut keybind since the -f and -b options for gamescope don't seem to work in Gnome.
IDK if that info is worth putting in the README or an FAQ somewhere, but it's a pretty fundamental break in VRR on Gnome, apparently in both Wayland and X
@DevilFish303 wlan scanning is not the problem... i tried a USB-Ethernet-Adapter so the Legion Go is wired as well -> everything is working. So something with the WLAN implementation on linux.
You shouldn't ever need too again. It's weird yours was using the release tag 38 because we always use stable (previously called latest) because it automatically changes release tag for you.
yea i just wish it listed 1440p as an option, i think it lists resolutions supported by whatever display youre hooked up to, in my case i don't think my tv reports 1440p, so im still stuck setting it per game, but otherwise yea its sweet to just set it and forget it
