settings > display, untick automatic display resolution and set your resolution globally

yea i just wish it listed 1440p as an option, i think it lists resolutions supported by whatever display youre hooked up to, in my case i don't think my tv reports 1440p, so im still stuck setting it per game, but otherwise yea its sweet to just set it and forget it

officially, no. but it goes up to 4k, i don't see why it shouldn't, the tv probably does not report that resolution in its EDID (if that's the thing thats responsible for reporting supported resolutions anyway)
