On the desktop if you want steam remote play you can switch to X11 from Wayland

It's your compositor essentially. If on a desktop image you can switch from the login screen

Alright, I did that using the terminal, amazingly everything suddenly scaled properly in desktop mode now, and the OS feels amazingly much more responsive but I have a microscopic taskbar which is unaffected by my scaling options and steam link now gives me a black screen on the tv and is essentially only streaming the sound, it is a step forward though since it was earlier just rebooting my whole device

The only thing that doesn't scale as long as you do the 6,25% upwards is the taskbar but as soon as you restart desktop mode then you'll see your scaling has taken affevt

I can try the inbuilt android tv instead of Nvidia shieldTV pro, if it doesn't work either then I will try this sunshine thing.

When using Wayland I had these strange scaling glitches in desktop mode, most stuff was properly scaled, but every now and then there was some things that remained with tiny UI.

After trying X11, everything scales properly, even applications as long as you scale by multiplying 6,25% or just spam the upwards arrow then restart desktop mode.

The only thing that didn't scale was my taskbar for some strange reason.
