I can try the inbuilt android tv instead of Nvidia shieldTV pro, if it doesn't work either then I will try this sunshine thing.

When using Wayland I had these strange scaling glitches in desktop mode, most stuff was properly scaled, but every now and then there was some things that remained with tiny UI.

After trying X11, everything scales properly, even applications as long as you scale by multiplying 6,25% or just spam the upwards arrow then restart desktop mode.

The only thing that didn't scale was my taskbar for some strange reason.

we have an "installing & managing applications" guide that goes over containers. it still might need some work. Would def try to make a container and play around with it though. BoxBuddy is pre-installed for a GUI

Sooo first thing I did was play with scaling, didn't think it work until I saw a microscopic message that said it will only work every 6,25% and will only take affect after a restart.

So I got scaling working and it is flawless other than a tiny taskbar.

Then I learned that suspend-resume is a bit more unstable on X11 than on Wayland but it does work about 70% of the time compared to Wayland's 80% of the time.

Will report any more bugs I encounter, steam link worked after I changed video codec.

I am curious, for the legion go setup as guided by aru, once you have handheld daemon you're recommended to emulate the dual sense edge controller for the most compatibility and I get that but is there no one who has the standard steam deck controls in there to emulate, I would think that the steam deck controllers themselves offer the most compatibility with the LGO other than one missing touchpad.

the steam deck controlls are handled directly by steam input, there is probably a way to emulate it but it is not documented at all unlike emulating other controllers (i have no idea of the process involved so this is just pure guesswork on my side)

This is insanely interesting, I love tinkering but hate coding but you guys are slowly igniting an old spark inside me where I once loved coding, Linux makes coding literally fun.

So basically one day we will be able to emulate the steam deck controls but not today.
